This piece was born from some mantras I began repeating to myself recently: “I am safe, you can’t touch me, you cannot take my soul.” It’s a reminder that even when shadows of the past feel close, my boundaries hold.
The burned pages, shattered glass, + barbed wire speak to the harsh protection I’ve had to create around my core. These objects can reflect destruction and danger, but also the resilience required to keep what’s sacred safe. The glowing center represents that untouchable part of me… the soul, the self, my truth that cannot be taken or trespassed.
”Untouchable” is about reclaiming space, forging boundaries, and protecting what is sacred within me. It is both a shield and a declaration: I will not let anyone steal my soul. And to those who have tried, I am untouchable.
